When I used to work in Palo Alto, my best friend and I regularly ran the Dish. In fact we became friends by run/walking the Dish while she was pregnant.
Since I have been working in San Ramon, I’ve been able to run the Dish less often, but when I do get the chance I am reminded of why it is a great place to run.
It is not often that you find a place that is both beautiful AND challenging.
This morning I got to run the Dish and I loved it. With the combination of hills, a bit of heat, and rolling hills, it was awesome.
Granted it may not have been the best place to run the last training run before the race, but it was worth it.
Then I got to sign up for a book club, ’cause I love to read in addition to run. The book club is at The Reading Bug, which is predominantly a children’s books.
They recently expanded and now have an adult’s book section and can order any book that you want! I was excited to learn that they have a book club for adults as I have been trying to get one going myself for quite some time.
