When I get to a certain point in training for a half-marathon, I remember this funny little thing called hip flexors. Most of the time when I am running, this group of muscles doesn’t bother me at all, however when I start running longer distances, well hello hip flexors.
Race day is less than two weeks away and I am already wondering how I will feel the day after the race. This is the first half-marathon that I have run in over 12 months and the last one that I ran was after running 3 in a period of about 9 months, so the recovery time from the third race was nominal.
