If you have trained for a race, you have probably experienced the insatiable hunger that comes from training.
Normally, I can keep my temptations in check and resist delicious treats (well, mostly), but when I am training, I simply have a harder time, well resisting. I happened to be near Mayfield Bakery & Cafe in Palo Alto yesterday, where they have some really tasty food. Last time I was there, I was good and got the chicken salad. Yesterday, not so much.
I indulged in a cappuccino, which may not seem like much to you, but I haven’t been drinking coffee. While I avoided buying one of the wonderful loaves of bread shown below, I did enjoy a delicious Key Lime cupcake from Kara’s Cupcakes.
Race in just over a week on July 31st, then August 1st, time to scale back the temptations with the Dukan Diet before vacation time.
