Lately I have been very inspired by volunteering. Although I am searching for a job, I recognize that I am really very fortunate. We have a roof over our heads, warm meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and so much more.
We are also trying to be a bit frugal to conserve cash just in case. Today I received an email from my hubby that they were gathering donations and gifts for a family in need. The kids in the family ranged in age from 1 to 16, so their needs spanned a range of items. Initially we were just going to give cash, but then I saw the list of wants and I had an aha moment.
Recently, I enjoyed reading the Twilight series a second time in anticipation of seeing Breaking Dawn Part 1 with my closest friend. (Totally and unabashedly Team Edward if you care.) The books were just as good the second time.
On the list of wants for the eldest girl was the Twilight series. I wrote to my hubby and asked if they still needed the Twilight books for the oldest girl. And so it is with great joy that I say good bye to my complete set of Twilight books for someone else to enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed them.
The holidays are totally meant for bringing out the joy and sharing it. I encourage you to go out and share the joy, it feels good!
