This week marks the arrival of two of my favorite holidays: Hannukah and Christmas. It is always fun when the two holidays happen to occur in the same week as there is simply twice the merriment.
Since we are celebrating Christmas early this year, I was inspired to create a holiday meal for my husband and I to enjoy last night.
The meal included Flat Roast Chicken from Mad Hungry (quickly becoming a go to recipe for me)
With such a special evening, I decided to pull out the china and silver that my recently departed great aunt gave us.
And to cap it off we tried the last bottle of wine from our wedding 8 years ago. Somewhat of a Christmas miracle as we had managed to spoil some of the other bottles, but thankfully this bottle was good. I think this means 2012 will be a great year!
Delicious from start to finish and sure to be a new holiday tradition.
