Food? I love it. I love to cook it, I love to enjoy it, I love to look at it, so it becomes a little challenging about 2 weeks into the cleanse when all you can think about are the delicious treats that you would like to enjoy when you finish. Granted that probably is not the purpose of a cleanse, because you are supposed to do away with cravings. The cravings go away and certainly I feel better, but that does not take away the fact that I will go back to eating more normally and that includes looking forward to food or places that we will go to enjoy a meal out.
Places I want to eat
Town, San Carlos (reservation already set for Thursday night when we finish the program)
St. Michael’s Alley, Palo Alto (haven’t been there, but have been wanting to try it)
Lyfe (okay so this one is a bit more healthy)
Martin’s West, Redwood City (p.s. can we say happy hour? 4-7 monday to friday)
State Bird, San Francisco (someone I know shared a link and this looks pretty good)
Station House, Point Reyes (BBQ oysters, must try them!)
Slider Bar Cafe, Palo Alto
Food I want to enjoy
A cupcake, probably from Kara’s
A cappuccino, probably from Mayfield
A piece of chocolate, definitely from Recchiuti and quite possibly my other favorite Christmas gift
A hot chocolate from Vanilla Moon
A cocktail, not really sure which one yet, but something delicious
This list is sure to grow as there is still more time before we finish the cleanse on February 1st. At least we will be good and clean to start the new year.
