As we embarked on week 3 of the cleanse, we had reached a bit of a lull on Friday. Both of us were craving just about everything, so we decided to venture out for lunch on Saturday as a treat. We headed to downtown Palo Alto after a good workout at Equinox. We were in search of a good place for Mediterranean food as we thought that would be the easiest way to stick with the clean program.
After stopping in several spots, we realized that it would not be a good value for us to eat at a Mediterranean restaurant as all of the meals included rice pilaf (includes no, no pasta), pita bread, and a salad with tomatoes and feta (two other no, no).
We finally found Pluto’s, which turned out to be the perfect fix. Two salads with as many ingredients of the allowable foods on clean as possible = the perfect Saturday treat.
This also prompted us to come up with some additional places for the food wish list:
