I have been wanting to go to Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco since it opened. It was probably the article that I read about the fantastic fried chicken that started this dream. This dream persisted thru my husband going to several lunches and dinners there with business associates over the past several years. Looking for a way to celebrate, I suggested that we go to Wayfare.
Last week, my dream was realized when we made a reservation for a meal at Wayfare. As I arrived at the door to Wayfare, imagine my surprise when I was opening the door next to the executive chef, namely Tyler Florence. Okay, so maybe I was a bit tongue tied as he said, “hi, how are you?” Wouldn’t you be?
The cocktail, named the Conservatory, was pretty delicious too.
And, the chocolate cream pie was not to be missed either.
