Next time my husband is considering going on a boy’s trip, he may reconsider or not…
In June, we were reconsidering our August vacation plans. We had initially planned a road trip to Disneyland and Palm Desert, but we had been there done that a few years ago. We made the summer travel plans when I was looking for a job, so we planned for trying to keep costs down. After I got the job in May, I had bigger aspirations – as in a stamp on my passport please.
We set the criteria for the trip: some place new and interesting for both of us. The “new” criteria can be a little challenging for us as we have been to different places, so what may be new to me, is not new to him and vice versa. Imagine my excitement when a bargain email from Royal Caribbean arrived and the highlighted cruise had places that neither of us had visited!
D sounded relatively interested when I called him on said boy’s trip. Unfortunately, I could not reach him when I was under timeline for the fare to expire, so, well I booked it. 🙂
Fast forward to August. We arrive in Malaga for 0ur 2nd European adventure. A bit tired from the trip, but excited to enjoy a full day in Malaga before the cruise started.
Our cab driver from the airport to the cruise terminal gave us a couple of helpful hints about how to spend our day. The first was to stop at the wooden building at the end of the port for cafe con leche.
The next was to walk thru the new waterfront mall where there were ample opportunities to enjoy a cafe and maybe just maybe purchase a pair of shoes (Camper, of course).
