In May, we said farewell to Arthur. His health had been faltering for many months, but it was hard to know the moment that would be right to say good bye to our boy. He had been in my life for over 10 years and with my husband for over 14 years. He was in cat years very, very mature. He brought so much joy to our life that it seemed only right to work with our vet to know when he was not enjoying his life any more. That time came in May. It was so hard to know it would be the last time that he graced our home.
Yet, in the moment of saying good bye, there was a bit of joy as he became more peaceful than he had been in months and the sunlight lit up the room. We are grateful for Dr. Connors and her excellent care of our boy. After many months have passed, we still miss him. He forever has a place in our hearts.
