My grandma has already shared with me that she enjoys reading my blog. She also periodically sends me ideas. Yesterday, we were chatting on the phone and I commented that it is a bit harder to find motivation to write most days when I don’t have an assignment like the Blogtember group. Actually, I also found Let’s Blog Off from way back when to be a good idea generator both professionally and personally.
We ended our chat and less than 30 minutes later, I had a voicemail from her with an idea for my blog. She suggested that I ask if anyone has any questions about prepping for Thanksgiving.
Here is the other thing, my grandmother is a glorious 93 years young. She is amazing really. She zoomed up to LA for her 90-year-old friend’s birthday party last weekend and get this, both she and her friend are separately hosting their very own Thanksgiving dinners this year.
While I have experience hosting a few Thanksgiving dinners, including one a few years ago with my mom, in-laws and grandma, but I think my grandma is much more knowledgeable on these matters.
So here is my adaptation on her idea, do you have any questions that you would like to ask my grandma for advice on hosting Thanksgiving? (I promise I will post her answers)
Clearly, my grandma rocks…and not to leave my other grandma out of the game, she rocks too and she just celebrated her 84th birthday. If nothing else, they serve as reminders to me that you if you live your life fully, you will live your life well.
