I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination. – Jimmy Dean
We moved this year. Moving is not for the faint of heart. It tests limits in countless ways, oh I will not even stop to count how many ways.
Several times since we moved, we have put a cleanse on the calendar to reset our bodies. We moved it a few times for various reasons including the Vitamix breaking (so thankful for their very liberal warranty & quick service!), but now it is time to reset our bodies for sure as we start tomorrow.
We are going to follow Dr. Hyman’s 10-Day Detox Diet that we found on on Dr. Oz, which is a version of the plan that I read in Dr. Hyman’s book recently. This is the most simple cleanse that we have done in terms of meal planning as most of the others required significant planning and homework just to get started.
The Jump Start Guide is super easy to follow, which makes obstacle #1 (planning) non-existent, and made the book far less daunting.
I love that this program asks you to take a quiz at the beginning, take baths throughout the program, and even journal. It feels like a whole mind/body reset.
The quote from Jimmy Dean that I saw on the Facebook page of Mentors Channel this morning is one of my favorites. I have seen it before and I will see it again, but today it feels just right.
How do you adjust your sails?
