D adventured afar with a friend this weekend, okay not super far, but it was a guy’s weekend nonetheless.
After shopping, we headed to Bar North for Happy Hour where I ordered the chef’s board. Honestly, it is the perfect noshing meal for one and it would make a great snack for two.
Then we headed home to enjoy the evening. Saturday we hit up our favorite farmer’s market – Uptown Market on Bethany Home and Central.
While I planned on venturing out for dinner on Saturday, I decided that pesto pasta with leftover pesto from the freezer would be perfection.
And then…coming home. I opted to heed the sage advice from one of my dear Grandmothers when she shared that she and my Grandfather would go out to a meal when she returned home from a travel adventure. Rather than head straight home after picking D up from the airport, we headed back to Buck &Rider for the perfect Easter brunch/lunch.
We are both huge fans of oysters and they did not disappoint.
I also had to order their hash browns, which were crispy perfection.
We couldn’t resist trying their mussels or their lobster “nik nik” rolls either.
It sounds like a lot of food, but their lobster rolls are much smaller than our favorite lobster roll place in Burlingame, CA.
Grandma was right about sharing a moment together where you focus on hearing what your partner did away. Definitely going to keep this tradition.
