Some days you set out with a certain intention and a series of unfortunate (or maybe fortunate events) changes the course of your day. Today was bound to be a bit crazy with the home tour that I coordinate for our community, but it got more crazy when my keys went MIA.
The past month or so has been interesting with keys to say the least, so it did not surprise me that they were missing. After wearing high heels for over 4 hours, I was ready to change into my flip flops. One of the many perks of living in AZ is that flip flops can be worn at almost any time and considered totally acceptable, except when you are hosting the home tour, then better shoes are generally appropriate.
Anyhow, back to the keys….I was literally counting the minutes to taking my heels off after a photo shoot with my business partner for an article tomorrow. I dug around in my purse and the keys – no where to be found…..UGH.
My business partner and I headed back to our favorite 32 Shea to work when an agent from the tour called to let me know that she had my keys at her house on the other side of town. Oh, yes. Kicker – she could not drive them back to me as she was expecting company. Thankfully my business partner’s parents live close to where the agent lives, so we were able to make it work…..
Back to that soleful, soulful day though. I got really grounded by walking around barefoot for the better part of the afternoon embracing my inner hippy apparently….
