Sometimes in the midst of an incredibly challenging time, we need something to help us see the light at the end of the tunnel. Travel is always my choice for dreaming.
The idea of traveling kept me going this spring as I plotted my first solo trip. Initially I dreamed of the St. Regis in the Maldives (on points, of course), however the reality of managing jet lag of that trip amidst a relatively new job made this seem like more of a challenge than a dream vacation at this time.
Maldives is most definitely still on my bucket list, especially with their amazing looking aerial yoga opportunities and dreamy rooms overlooking the ocean.
I decided to pop onto the Marriott site and see what else caught my eye. Turns out there are a couple of new Autograph Collection properties in Costa Rica.
Dreaming of the curvy roads and stick shift cars combined with the rustic beach property and getting the opportunity to use my Spanish won out for this first, new me trip.
The El Mangroove looks decidedly appealing for this trip. I love that I have been to Costa Rica before, so parts will be familiar. The hammocks look amazing as does the entire property. It has an essence of what I loved about Post Ranch Inn.
Costa Rica will also always have a piece of my heart for being a place that Dad loved so much.
Pura Vida awaits. T-minus one month until I head off to Costa Rica.
