Portion control as I learn to cook for one is interesting to say the least. I still feel more comfortable cooking in batches and freezing things for later. This does not work as well for smoothies, etc.
This morning I was craving liquid calories. Often when my eating has been less than desirable for a few days and I cannot get food down in the morning, then switching it up to a high calorie liquid food is a good plan of action.
One of my favorite drinks is a mango-ginger lassi. I modify the recipe for ginger vanilla lassi from Cheryl Sternman Rule’s Yogurt Culture cookbook slightly to my taste. This morning I made a batch big enough for breakfast for a few days.
