Day 12: Today’s Blogtember prompt is only photos.
Day 11 of Blogtember is simply a memory you’d love to relive.
Wow, this one was almost as challenging as the personality post.
There are just so many memories I would love to relive. I suppose that is the sign of a life well-lived so far. It is simply not possible for me to select just one, so I will share some of the top memories I would like to relive.
Cutting off ALL of my hair in the bathroom of a fancy hotel in Hong Kong with my sister and step-sister on my 20th birthday and walking down to dinner with them only to have my family not recognize me. (Photo to follow as if you know me, you will know this is so out of character)
Blogtember topic for the day: Write a public love letter to someone in your life. (It doesn’t necessarily need to be romantic.)
So clearly, I could write this letter to my husband of 10 years as I love him a lot, but the prompt for today says that it does not necessarily need to be romantic, so….
Thank you for your friendship. I am grateful to have each of you in my life as you add color and keep me on track all at the same time. It is amazing that thru the births of each of your children (5 in total now between the two of you), there are those times were our lives seem to diverge, but all it takes is a phone call to feel our friendship again. I cherish the advice that you have given me over the years, the silly and adorable photos that you have shared with me since getting your iPhones, and well, of course, your friendship. I love that each of you has been an active part in my active life (figure skating and running half-marathons). Though we may not see each other as often as we like, it is good to know that you are there in a pinch. I hope that I can offer the same to you. It is amazing to me that I have been friends with one of you for over 5 years and the other for close to 20 years (*please let’s not figure out that makes us much older now). Your friendship means the world to me.
Day 9 Blogtember topic is simply a self portrait.
Last weekend, I headed up to Yosemite at the last minute. While I was packing, I decided to toss in my climbing gear. For the last few years, our friend and I have been talking about climbing, but I have never had my gear.
I had not climbed in many years and he had not climbed in a could of years, so it figured to be interesting. We headed to the Grack.
Thankfully he led. The climb was exhilarating.
My self-portrait is a series of self-portraits from the day.
