When you are restricting your food, you look for every way to “indulge” a little bit. This delicious wrap is not really even that indulgent, but boy does it taste good! I discovered the basic recipe on Goop. Unfortunately, the recipe is no longer appearing on GP’s site, which I think is a bit of a drag, so I have included it below. This simple recipe has definitely been one of our standby recipes during the Cleanse as it has D’s much wanted protein wrapped up in a delicious tortilla with hummus being the “secret ingredient.”
Three years ago I embarked on my first detox. It was a simple 7-day detox program that Gwyneth Paltrow mentioned in her newsletter, Goop. I loved that I felt refreshed at the end of it, so the following year I checked out the book, Clean, and embarked on a longer 21-day cleanse (with a one day break in the middle to celebrate my girlfriend’s 30th birthday). Again I felt refreshed. Last year, we did the 7-day elimination diet over the summer and it helped rejuvenate us.
When I received the Goop newsletter last week, I forwarded it to a few of my favorite people and low and behold they wanted to join me. We are now 3 days in and finished the pre-cleanse yesterday. Today we start on the 21-day cleanse.
