Sometimes for one reason or another, it is helpful to focus on a goal to either escape the every day or to take the focus off something else. For a long time when I needed to focus on a goal, I trained for half-marathons. 12 week training gave me a solid goal.
This year I discovered that when you use the same goal time and again, eventually you get burnt out.
Recently I found myself in need of a goal and with training out of the question, I sought the advice of two of my dearest friends.
Here is the list they came up with:
quilting, cross stitch, knitting, needlepoint, crochet, writing a short story, Zumba, cooking classes, stained glass, water aerobics, photography, scrapbooking, learning to drive a race car, bicycling, patio garden, food/recipe blog, painting class, photography class (made the list from both friends), enter more baking contests, wine class, more camping adventures
