When I started yoga teacher training, I thought I would jump right into teaching when I was done. The surprise for me was that my personal practice has gained the most from my experience in teacher training.
On some levels, I guess this makes sense as I went from a yogi that practiced yoga at most about 3 hours a week in several gym yoga classes to someone that was in yoga 8 hours every weekend.
Before I started the program, I made efforts at Crow and Headstand, but I really could not do them. On the day that we learned headstands and how to teach headstands, I had a lovely head cold. Going upside down was the last thing I wanted to do, so I watched everyone with full intentions of having someone teach me in a few weeks when I felt better.
